stephanie is: running out of time for more sleep…
hello… my days of (fri – sat) went way too fast. on friday i caught up on much needed sleep. danny had a hair appointment at the maul that night. i dug through the sale racks in the nearby department store and scored $15 jeans for work. lots of jeans are good since they get so funky, snagged and bleached-spotted. i got a text message from him as i was walking out of the stare saying “where you be?”. the timing was so perfect – i replied “escalator” as i stepped on to it. i saw him just walking by the other escalator when his phone went off with my reply. it was amusing to see him read it and look right up at me at the moment. okay, so i am easily amused. we watched a dvd of “x-men 2″. i liked it, though it had been so long since i saw the first, that it took me a while to figure out who was who. saturday we ran errands and saw the movie “the lady killers”. it was okay, but i had a hard time understanding what they were saying through their southern accents.

today i went to work. i hadn’t gotten my schedule yet for this week since we were still filling in some gaps on thursday. so now that i know it, i will schedule a cam show and photo shoot for wednesday night. i will be working 6:45am-3pm monday – wednesday… then 1pm – 11pm on thursday… then 3pm – 8:30pm saturday at the super pet expo… then 8am – 3pm sunday. so, only one day off this week, but it at least looks like they went easy on me with the room schedules.

so! all you pet lovers must come out the the super pet expo this weekend! as i said, i’ll be there representing my work saturday evening. we have ordered spiffy logo shirts to wear. if i have any answers about the dog spa that i don’t know 100% yet, i’m sure i’ll know by the end of that day! i’d love to go a little early with danny so we can check it all out together, but he is not sure he wants to get up at 1pm. that is early early for him. everyone should come out… you can even bring your doggies on a leash!

i slept for 3 hours after work, so i already have a head start on my night’s rest. i have been working on photos for our new brochure for several hours. they needed to be done tonight. i need to head up for more sleep now. i had wanted to braid my hair some tonight but now there is no time. i had been planning to do ~5 braids per night till finishing, but now that i’ll be at the expo i am going to try to do as many as possible in the next 5 days. hard when working full-time. i will be doing a lot on friday i bet.

stephanie is: feeling barfy…
thank you to those who watched my cam show… it started 10 minutes late because my stomach started feeling really bad. it is still really unsettled, but i am on my way up to bed. i will have to skip braiding tonight because i don’t want to stand around for that long. i am looking forward to sleeping past 5am tomorrow!

after the show i once again took some pictures while i still had everything set up. i should get the gallery up within several days… here are two samples:

stephanie is: tired…
don’t mind the bags under my eyes… they are thanks to the 3-5 hours of sleep i’ve been getting per night. it is sad that 5 hours sounds like a long period to sleep now. when i get less, it is thanks to allergies and insomnia. bah, i say.

so we got our taxes done… it took a long time (partly because we waiting a while past when our appointment was for). we are getting money back from both state and federal taxes. since we’ve both been so extremely burt-out, we are basically putting the state refund towards a vacationin mid to late may (and the rest will go to the credit cards, i assume). v. a. c. t. i. o. n.

we are going to try to fly out to california, rent a car, and visit danny’s family (my family now too, i guess, since his grandparents are fond of introducing me as their granddaughter and danny as just my husband, hehe. they are silly.) we’d love to get together with friend-type people out there is possible too. i have my tentative vacation days approved by my manager so now we just have to talk to everyone, buy tickets (danny found a good special), and then start planning our route.

i need to remember to get a suitcase before then. mine is broken (the handle doesn’t pull out anymore because an airline bent it) and too small for a week-long trip (it is stewardess size). i shall keep an eye on kohls since they often have luggage sales.

tomorrow i will work my first “late night” shift. i’ll go in at 1pm for the normal night shift, then everyone else will leave at 8pm (except for a training class that is at that time). i’ll clean up the dogs’ dinners, take care of the day’s dishes, let them out to play for a bit, clean any rooms that need it, take them out to potty, and put them to bed. then after some cleaning chores i’ll leave at 11pm. if i end up not likeing it then they’ll probably train a new hire to eventually cover thursdays. we’ll see. it will be nice getting up late, for sure.

tonight there is a cam show at 11pm est. if you have submitted a join/renew request today – have no fear… i will be taking care of all accounts before the show. i just really need to do the whole dinner thing first. i have no idea what the show will be yet, but i generally don’t until 5 minutes beforehand.

busy busy busy busy.

today during my two hours in the lounge at work, i started working on a chore schedule for me. i have this week mostly done. today’s chores were: gather tax info, collect all the trash, wash the sheets and put them on the bed, dog of the week updates for work, and about 5 braids. making my spreadsheet took way longer than the 2 hours i allotted, so i am a bit behind. i really should be in bed now. i still have to shower, put the sheets on the bed, and do braids. i will just do braiding after my shower until my hair is dry enough to get in bed with.

tomorrow we have our tax appointment in the evening so i only scheduled 5 braids and kitchen duty (i ahve to braid braid braid cause my head is a mess mess mess). tuesday i will do 5 braids, and up to 3 hours of web work. wednesday i’ve listed (of course) braids, and because i don’t need to be at work until 1pm thursday, a camshow/photoshoot. thursday i work until 11pm (i will be with the doggies on my own for the first time – though there will be a training class for most of it) so i’ve only scheduled braids and web work. my weekend chores will be to change the litterboxes and start to: sort out old clothes and break down the old bunny hutch with wire clippers. too much to do. can i have a few extra hours per day to schedule a nap in? our appointment tomorrow is at 6:30 so i don’t think a nap is in the schedule unless i speed right home and dive under the covers. mmm, covers….

tired tired today. my first thought after waking up this morning was ‘i can’t wait to go to bed!’. hah. might have had something to do with the cat waking me up just after i’d fallen asleep. he knocked over the dog gate at the top of the stairs and it went slamming down. i went down and fixed it and stepped in something wet, but didn’t see anything on the floor when i looked around. i was about to get into bet when i found a cat turd on my foot. shfuusgdiuhgsk@#!! so by the time i got my foot disinfected i was wide awake again. good thing, i guess. simba was acting all weird after (literally) having the shit scared out of him and he jumped up on the bed and started digging at the comforter where danny lays like he was about to take a dump there. i took his ass to the litter boxes so fast he hid from me the rest of the night. today after work when i tried to nap for a little while he was sucking up to me and kept creeping closer and closer to my face. maybe he was trying to steal my soul. all he managed to do was wake me up again.

i have a question… i can now send/receive yahoo mail (account is stvlive – not putting the full address for spam harvesting reasons. yahoo has enough spam as it is). i’d like to use that to make livejournal posts, but in order to do anything remotely useful (like taking out the yahoo ad crap that is attached to the end or choosing my user pic) i have to be able to type a line break. i have danny’s hand-me-down phone – verizon’s version of the samsung SCH-a310. anyone know how?

tomorrow is st. patrick’s day and our 3rd wedding anniversary. i loaf you, danny!

stephanie is: sleepy…
i’ve been spoiled this weekend. danny switched to a day schedule so that he could go sight-seeing with his big-boss-from-out-of-town. it has been nice to see him more than just for the evening.

on friday i woke up around 7:30am.that is a couple hours later than i wake up for work, so it was good enough for me. danny and i just ran errands… i got underwear at the maul and we braved the super-big grocery store they just built out here since we hadn’t shopped for groceries in a couple weeks. danny went to bed early because his schedule was all kinds of messed up. i stayed up till 10pm doing programming for the happy tails web site. then i watched a few of the million-billion shows that have been building up on tivo for me. i got to sleep around midnight.

today i got up at 8am or so. we got breakfast at a french chain restaurant where you get a tray and walk through a line. i had scrambled eggs, a croissant, a goblet of fresh strawberries, grapfruit juice, and hot tea. yum.

at 12:30pm i had my yearly eye exam. there were minor changes to my prescription but (despite my doctor being attached to a lenscrafters) he said i was fine with the lenses and contacts i have now. he does want me to continue to come yearly since my dad has had glaucoma recently and the circle thinger in my optical nerve is at 50% (he explained it as an unusable area in the center of the nerve that is at 10%-50% in normal eyes… over 55% and they recommend testing fo problems). he assured me it is completely fine for me to be at 50% already (that sometimes little kids are even like that) and that it wasn’t likely to ever be a problem, but that i am doing the right thing by being checked regularly. when i got my air puff test it was given by a cute guy in dress clothes instead of one of the nurses in the cheesy flower scrubs. he looked like he should be working next door at the lens crafters. i warned him i was a blinker and he was going to have problems doing the air puffs in my eyes. amazingly he got it on both tries in my right eye. but he tried on my left eye (the non-dominant one, which also has poorer vision) about 7 times before giving up. i left the exam room with tears streaming down my face from trying so hard not to blink while having air blasted into my eye. the doctor saw me and joked “that doesn’t look too good…”. i told him his assistant had been abusing me.

in the afternoon i took a nap because we were planning to go out to dinner later with friends. i had a bad dream that danny had to leave to join some strange army training thing and they made him drive off a cliff.

tonight we went out to dinner with acdprime and tomorrowsangel. we went to reston town center and somehow ended up with three of those restaurant pagers… we were waiting to see which would go off first. some american food tap room place won. i got water with lemon, a gardenburger, and fries. as we were leaving an hour and a half later, the pager from the mexican place next door went off. heh!

afterwards they stopped into our house for a few minutes to meet the zoo. i got tamara’s aim name (if you want to be able to aim me you have to tell me your aim name first because i have heavy security set up) so we can set up a date to go see ‘the passion’ soon. our boys have no interest in seeing it so we will spare them. i am happy to be making a new friend! especially one who is often just down the street. i just need to get my tired, slacker ass in gear and work out my time budget so i know when i need to be doing work or chores and when it is time to play.
