On Saturday, we hosted Laura’s birthday party at our house – our birthday gift to her. Laura chose money as her theme, and it turned out really fun! We had a playlist of money songs for the start of the party, lots of green/gold/silver decorations featuring $’s, jewels and play money and a craft room with paint-your-own piggy banks and coin purses. I “blinged” out the photobooth I’d left up from my last two parties. I was planning to break it down anyway, so I figured I’d go all out and make it bright, shiny gold. Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Happy St Patrick’s Day! It’s also my 8th wedding anniversary. Today was another cute day at work at the doggy day care. We hosted a special red head play group for the holiday. I took pictures and made a cute collage for the parents to take home. In not so good news, apparently, our brand new FiOS internet is out. I thought I broke my stupid PC laptop’s connection in the morning when I did an update, but it turns out it was the whole network. Boo. I guess a tech has to come out tomorrow. I’m hoping it is early in the day so I can work from home as planned.

Shed Much?

Geez, China! Shed much?

China has started shedding for the spring. She is a chow chow/German shepherd dog mix, so she has quite a ‘fro going on. Right now, it’s like little baby mogwai‘s are popping off of her!

I’ve started brushing her with my furminator. They can be expensive (nearly $60 for the large size I bought), but Amazon has a great price on them. My only gripe is that it makes their fur super staticy as I am brushing. So I mist the dogs with some grooming spray occasionally to keep the static at bay. I like the way Crazy Dog’s Rainforest spray smells, though I only see the Baby Powder scent on Amazon right now.

Here is a picture I snapped when I was about to take Benny to work with me on Tuesday. China was ready and waiting to take over the dog bed when he got up! (Please note the crazy tufts of hair shooting off of her!)
