Welcome to my house tour. I think it is fun to see how people decorate their homes, so I decided to share photos of mine. I live with my husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 bunnies, 2 geckos, and some fish in, not an ark, but a town house in northern Virginia. I grew up in a town house before moving out to live in dorms and apartments. One day I'd love to live in a single family home.

The web cams make the inside look larger than it is. It is a decent size and plenty of room for us, but it isn't huge. The first floor is taken up largely in part by the garage. There is also the living room, a half-bath, utility closets, and a small foyer.

The best part of the second floor is the kitchen. One of the few extras we added to the house was the hard wood floor. The cabinets were nicer than the ones we expected. I love it! The rest of the floor, besides another half-bath, was meant to be a living room/dining room. Instead, we made it a large office with lots of open space for the animals to play in.

The bedrooms are on the top floor. Our master bedroom isn't too big but it is large enough for our bed, dresser, dog kennel, and a few other bits and pieces. The master bathroom is a treat after years of apartment living. We have a double vanity, shower stall, and soaking tub. There are two other bedrooms - one is the guest room and the other is a sanctuary for the cats and bunnies. There is a full bath by the guest room and a closet with our washer and dryer.

We'd love to be able to afford lots of nice furniture and decorations, but for now we have mostly all Ikea furniture that is several years old and posters we've framed to hang on the walls.
